Adam is a character on the television series Northern Exposure. He is a young, ambitious doctor who is sent by the government to practice medicine in the small town of Cicely, Alaska. Adam is portrayed as intelligent, hardworking, and well-educated, but he struggles to adapt to the unconventional lifestyle and unique challenges presented by the remote community. Throughout the series, Adam develops close relationships with many of the other characters, particularly his colleague Dr. Joel Fleischman and the local Native American tribe.
